Freeze Your Face-Off 5k Run Benefits NAMI Oklahoma

Are you ready to take on the challenge of running in the freezing cold while supporting a noble cause of mental health awareness? On January 18th, Homeland will be hosting the Freeze Your Face-Off 5k run, which will allow you to do just that. It is in partnership with Oklahoma’s homegrown ice hockey team, the OKC Barons, and after the race, participants will gain free entrance to the 7:00 p.m. game between the Barons and the Milwaukee Admirals.

The Homeland Freeze Your Face-Off 5k run will primarily benefit the Oklahoma chapter of the National Alliance of Mental Illness. To better promote mental illness awareness, there will be three stations along the route, where participants will get a chance to experience a mental illness stimulation. Runners who stop at the stations will have an additional one minute on their finish time and separate medals.

Registration is required and there is an entrance fee of $30, which covers the run, a long-sleeve tech race t-shirt, running medal, and a ticket to the Barons game. The run will start at 4:30 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center.
