How to Furnish Your Home Bar

Having a home bar can be a lot of fun and provide a great place to relax with your family and friends. With a little work and the right furniture, your home bar can be the most relaxing room in the house. Home bars come in many different forms, from standard solid hardwood home bars to modern metal bars to collapsible bars and everything in between. When considering what style is best for you, keep in mind how many people you would like to be able to entertain at any given time and the style of the rest of your home.

Seating is one of the most important parts of a home bar because you want everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed. Bar stools are available in a wide range of materials, finishes, and colors to suit any personal taste or theme. Generally, bar stools have a seat height of 30 to 32 inches. When purchasing bar stools, make sure that the space between the chair’s seat and the counter’s underside edge is about 10 to 12 inches. This is the best way to guarantee that your guests will feel comfortable sitting there at that they will not worry about bumping their knees or not having enough room.

Glassware, such as wine glasses, margarita glasses, beer mugs, etc., can be hung from glassware racks to maximize your space and create visual dimension. A well-stocked bar must include the right amount and the right types of glasses to accommodate any style of drink.

Pick an easy home bar plan, as a simple design that is done well will look sleek and uncluttered. Also pay close attention to the features of your bar, such as liquor cabinet locks, adjustable shelves, garnish trays, dry sinks, and more.
