Gardens in bloom can make any property more appealing. Everyone loves to see beautiful flowers and plants as well as lovely landscapes and tasteful green vistas. Most also love to tend their garden as it helps relax, revitalize, and rejuvenate.

To provide demonstrations concerning gardening, Oklahoma City will be opening its first demonstration garden at OSU-OKC. It will be a sizable garden filled with various plants and flowers as well as exhibits on the proper maintenance of a garden. This will be an interactive way of teaching the public about the proper ways to tend a garden.

The demonstration garden will feature first-hand materials for drought tolerance as well as landscape designs and irrigation technologies. Anyone can learn how to design their own landscape or simply be inspired by the existing designs of various gardens. Visitors can also learn more about the wide variety of plants on exhibit.

There will also be demonstrations on water conservation as well as ways to maintain a garden during a drought. Visitors will witness various techniques on how to properly plant and grow a tree or plant and how to water them, regardless of conditions. There will also be scheduled seminars and workshops inside the garden.

Come and enjoy the first demonstration garden in the city during their grand opening event on May 22, beginning at 1:30pm. Refreshments and tours will also be offered during the event.
