Free Fishing Days in Oklahoma City June 7th to 8th

It’s National Fishing Week next month! Prepare yourself for a fun-filled weekend with family and friends on the river as Oklahoma City will be offering free fishing between June 7th and 8th.

The National Fishing Week is a week long celebration of angling and fishing. It is usually held every first week of June and offers Free Fishing Days that will allow the public to fish free of charge.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and the City of Oklahoma City will permit anyone to fish within the city-based waters. Except on National Fishing Week, those who wish to go fishing will need to secure a state fishing license and a city fishing permit. Only persons ages 16 to 62 are allowed to go fishing. Permits are available at a cost of $3.50 daily and $18.50 annually.

During the Free Fishing Days, no state fishing license and city fishing permit is required for anyone can fish. It will be a great chance for anyone, from beginners to pros to fish with their friends. Fishers will be fishing within the city waters and “Close to Home”water.
