OKC Law Enforcement Agencies Hold Event to Support theSpecial Olympics Oklahoma

Doughnut locations across the state! These police officers will be collecting donations to help those with intellectual disabilities during the Special Olympics Oklahoma.

The Special Olympics is a year-round sports program that aims to provide athletic activities to individuals who have intellectual disabilities. Through special training and competition, these competitors will be able to participate in various physical activities, develop their confidence and public social skills. Their involvement will help nurture their individual development as well help establish a better bond between their families.

Law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma are supporting the Special Olympics through a fundraising event this coming Saturday, June 14th. The 12th Annual Cops on Doughnut Shops fundraiser aims to raise $30,000 to help support the program. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will also provide their donations through prize rewards, including free t-shirts, coffee and doughnuts.

The fundraising event is anticipated to be attended by more than 20 law enforcement agencies in the state. The event will start at 7 am and end at 10 pm at the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Shops in Oklahoma City as well as on 12500 N. Pennsylvania, and 10128 E. 71st Street in Tulsa.
