Knotty Ladies Provide blankets for Homeless Children

Children who visit Positive Tomorrows are often in desperate need of tender, loving care. One of the many ways Positive Tomorrows provides aid to homeless children is by giving them their very own fleece blankets.

Homeless children coming to Positive Tomorrows are receiving comfy blankets specially made by the ladies of Coffee Creek retirement home. This charitable group of retires known as The Knotty Ladies spend countless hours knotting material together to create fleece blanket called “Comfy Blankets.”

Positive Tomorrows is an educational effort among various Oklahoma organizations which aims to provide service and support to homeless children and to their families. Through an intensive education process, kids are provided with the resources they need to succeed in life.

The Knotty Ladies saw the need to help these kids and up to 17 women are now volunteering to help knot more blankets. There are now 17 fleece blankets delivered to Positive Tomorrows and the ladies desire to deliver more. More donations are coming in for the funds and supplies. The ladies are also generating additional resources through fund-raising activities.
