Back-to-School Bash at the Oklahoma History Center

It’s back to school and kids are gearing up for the coming school semester. New bags, school supplies and books await students who are eager to make their school year successful and memorable.

However, for some students, having those essentials may not be easily attainable. If you want to donate school supplies to students while having your mind enriched with new resource ideas, then come and join the back-to-school bash event held by a conglomeration of Oklahoma museums.

The Back-to-School Bash is a special event where participating museums in the city join together to provide helpful information to teachers, students, parents and school administrations. Representatives will be available to answer questions regarding field trips, teacher resources, professional development and events. Anyone can attend, and the event is free to all.

Various museums and entities will be participating.  These include the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Chisholm Trail Heritage Center, Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, Science Museum and many more.

The Back-to-School Bash will be held on August 14 from 6pm to 9pm at the Oklahoma History Center. Galleries will be open all evening and door prizes will be given away to lucky teachers in attendance. Those who want to attend are encouraged to bring along donations of school supplies.
